Current Programs

​Y-Z academic programs serve three purposes:

1. Help students reinforce and prepare for what they currently learn in school so that they will gain confidence in the subject and have the ability to ace their exams, top their GPA or;
2. Help students who currently already excel in school to get ahead and learn the subject a year in advance, giving them to option of either testing out of the subject or having a very solid foundation the next year, or;
3. Help students prepare for specific competitions and exams like CBE. This also includes help students getting better MAP scores and advance to Math Rocks program

Elementary Math (Grade 1 - 5)

Our Elementary Math program focuses on helping students build a strong foundation of number sense and comprehension of the concepts. We use an interactive and hands-on-learning approach, enabling students to apply concepts they learn to a variety of contexts so they become critical thinkers and lifelong problem solvers.

Elementary English (Grade 1-2, 3-4, 5-6)

Our Elementary English program was developed to help students improve reading/writing skills effectively at a young age. Our reading/writing program provides 3 different levels to meet student needs. Classes are structured to be in small groups, and students work on fun stories with topics including Comprehension, Critical Thinking, Vocabulary, and Writing.

Middle/High School Math

​Our Middle/High School Math program is lecture-based with content that is more advanced than in regular school. Students will see significant improvement on academic performance within a few months of joining the program. Courses currently offered include Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geomety, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus BC.

Regardless of whether you want to get ahead in school, get help in your current classes, or take the credit by exam test, our Physics and Chemistry classes can help you achieve your goals. Classes are offered in small group environments, which allow for more flexible learning, more personal attention, and more student participation.

Math Enrichment

Our Math Enrichment program is designed to stimulate students' interest in math and encourage them to value intellectual pursuits. We separate problems into a series of categories. Through learning to solve problems by category, students can develop strategies for each category, allowing them to solve these problems more quickly. Classes offered include MathCounts, AMC8, Counting/Probability and Number Theory, etc.

SAT Math/Reading/Writing

Our SAT Math/Reading/Writing program is an instructor-led, fast-paced, and intensive SAT prep course. Meeting regularly in a small groups, teachers can easily identify each student's problem areas and help the students improve in those areas, thereby increasing their scores effectively.

Embedded Video Class (EVC)

Embedded Video Class (EVC) is an individually-scheduled, private tutoring format, video-based class. With the benefit of having a completely flexible schedule, students and parents can choose what days and times work best for them instead of being forced into regularly scheduled class times. This program works best for students with a variety of extracurricular activities. We currently offer EVC for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus. << EVC FAQ >>

Summer Program

Take advantage of the summer time to open your mind to new knowledge, to challenge your ability, to become advanced in class, and to prepare standard exams. Our summer program provides students different options to learn: EVC on math, Math competition, problem solving, SAT  prep, etc.
